Randy A. Hoffman, Speech and Language Pathologist, is the director of Palo Alto Speech. She has worked at major medical centers including the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and at the University of Illinois Ravenswood Hospital. She has provided services to over ten different nursing facilities working as part of a rehabilitation team. Mrs. Hoffman has provided treatment and evaluations for children and adults in both acute care and sub acute care settings, and in private practice. Randy now exclusively works in private practice in Palo Alto and treats patients at the Parkinson's Institute in Sunnyvale. Randy maintains active participation in continuing education programs, logging 50 or more hours annually. Her special interests include treating people with voice disorders using the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) approach. She is one of a very small group of practitioners certified to provide this specialized voice approach to individuals with Parkinson's disease. Mrs. Hoffman is a member of the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association and of the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is LSVT-certified. She is a consultant for the Parkinson's Institute, Sunnyvale, California. |
